View Full Version : Just trying to set up my Ultimo

Hi Guys

I'm just trying to set up my brand new Ultimo (very prompt delivery from World of Satellite) and I've hit a few speed bumps along the way, and I was wondering if people could help.

I've got a sky card which has now expired for sky itself, but still has a subscription to Premier Sports on (what can I say I love my Aussie Rugby). However, I can't get the channel to decode, it just comes up blank. I've installed CCcam (v2.2.4) and I'm going to check my hex code in the config file against another internet hex converter tonight as I think that's most likely to be the problem. I just want to check that slot 0 (which is what I've set in my CCcam config file) is the top slot underneath the big whole for whatever encryption unit can be put in. Is that correct on the ultimo?

Thanks

Mike

When you go to http:// IP OF BOX:12000 does it show anything under entitlements?

Yes the cam is enabled (on autostart)

I'll check the http request when I get home in a couple of hours...

Thanks

Hi

I've tried what you suggested and nothing responds on the browser at that address. I can do a normal http request to the ip address (and I get OpenWebif) but nothing on the port 12000

I've obviously set something up wrong.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Try blue button -> CCcam Info -> Entitlements

Right there's a list of 19 entitlements there. One (the first one) has expired but all the others have dates of the 18th or 19th Sept 2012 on them.

Do you need more info on any of these?

No, atleast we now know the Ultimo is reading your card.
Have you done a rescan to see if the channel clears then?

I'll set the rescan going and check again in the morning. I'll let you know!

The talk on the net is you need oscam to decode it as it went the way of pick tv.

ahhhh thanks for that! I'll try it when I get home!

Quick question is oscam a downloadable plugin or will I need to find somewhere to download it?

Thanks for all your help.

Right I've got OScam installed but I can't find a guide to configuring it to work. Since it hasn't worked just by installing it I'm sure that is the problem.

I've searched the forums but there's a lot of results... does anyone know of any good links?

Thanks

you could try the English forums on

http://oscam.to/
However, the config files that come with Oscam are well documented & should easily help you set-up what you need.
Also, check the oscam web interface, I forgot the default port but it should be in your server.conf file I think.

Mike

Have a look at what I posted in this thread:

Might give you some pointers.

Cheers, Mark
