Imdb search via the red button from the epg not wormking, im on vix 2.3. the new kernal 3.1.1
What should I do for ot to nt werking again

Theres really not much we can do as we no longer maintain or update ViX 2.3

Yeah, it's really quite simple: we try to remain as up-to-date as possible, hence the frequent image and plugin updates. But if you don't want to use them...... :confused:

how do i update like with the usb or can i do it via the net like from the box
will i have to put all the files back onto it or will it save my backup
i mean can i do a backup of my files and then later install them
or do i have to do everyting fresh

you can not perform a online update from the ViX 2.3 image any higher than 2.3-204. if you wish to use ViX 2.4 you must first flash a 2.4 series image to the receiver via USB.

now as to restoring settings and plugins etc, It is possible to restore a settings backup from ViX 2.3 to ViX 2.4 but it is by no means recommended and if you do there is a high likelihood of introducing problems into your setup.

personally i would say backup your bouquets using DBE then make a backup of all your settings such as timers and auto timers and any softcam configuration files you need. then do a full fresh install of ViX 2.4-213 and go from there. or wait a while for the new image to be released although as always we can not get into release dates or ETA's.
