mgcamd on ultimo

Hi guys,

Has anyone managed to get mgcamd running on the latest ViX image?

A lot of clued people have tried with mine but failed.

Can anyone please offer help, preferably over teamviewer?

What is happening? I have it working fine on two Duo's using the latest image with 1.35a..

edit the mg_cfg file in /usr/keys.

At the bottom of the list you will see:

# box type
# 00 autodetect, change only if you think wrong type detected.
# 01 dbox2
# 02 dreambox
# 03 triple-dragon
# 04 relook
# 05 openbox
# 06 dreambox/mips
# 08 stapi/kathrein
# 09 stapi/ipbox
# 11 stapi/openbox
B: { 00 }

Change the B: { 00 } to B: { 06 }


Then save and restart mgcamd

You need to ensure that's its installed and started. If you go into softcams ensure that its listed and started.. If your channels clear it works.

telnet into your box, and once logged in type ps and hit enter.

If you see mgcamd listed in the info that comes out, then it's running.

Hi,
I'm having trouble with this aswell...
Mgcamd works for about 5/10seconds then the picture freezes completely. If i restart mgcamd via the softcam manager exactly the same thing happens.

I've tried 00 and 06 both produce the same results. Using Mgcamd 1.35a on VIX ver 3.0
