Placing Plugins into main menu?

I'm running the latest VIX. Is there a way to list a plugin in the main menu if the plugin does not have the option to? ie, 1Channel?

Im just trying to make the system easy to use for the wife!

1 channel plugin should be listed in the extensions - short press blue button

if you really want it in the main menu then thats possible no problem.
you'll need to edit the plugin.py
although with it being in extensions already thats still only 1 button press away

Thanks for the advice, however, the only buttons she knows and will ever know are EGP and MENU! what is the location of the plugin.py file?

usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/1channel folder.

overwrite the plugin.py file in usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/1channel
with the one in the rar file ive attached and restart enigma2

ive put 1channel into Main Menu and removed it from extensions and plugins.

Ive tried my hardest to compare your file and the original so i could do the same for other plugins without bothering you, but i cant. Is there something in particular that i have to change?

the edits were made at the bottom of the file, extra stuff needs adding to the file aswell
you should be able to see the differences at the bottom.

what other stuff u want adding to main menu?

It was Rats bouquets plugin for updating their Update Sky settings.

I know this thread is a bit old but I would love to put DVDPlayer (The one under Modules) on the main menu too. I hoped Black Hole used a universal "menu.xml" file or something. Is it correct that Black Hole "generates" the main menu from many different .py files?

You can: install the DVD-Player from the feeds.
The only thing it does, is adding the menu-entry you asked for.
