trying to download plugins ??

im trying to download plugins and its telling me they are unstable ,ive never seen this before can anyone shed any light on it please ?:mad:

its because the latest update is set as an unstable beta, If you want to access the unstable updates and plugins goto menu>setup>system>online update and set Allow unstables updates to yes , or wait until we set it to stable.

Any idea when plugins will be stable again been a week so far? is this to do with open vix images if so can they not be kept separate from the normal plugins download, maybe download working vix image stable/unstable on here instead of blocking all plugins?

The plugins them selves are fine, its when the image is set as unstable that you will see this.

Hi mate

May have missed reading something about open vix image upgrades, so if i get this right if a upgrade is found to be unstable it blocks the plugins download from opening incase im guessing this does more damage to the software with non compatable pluging v vix upgrade.
My question then would be how long does it take to make the image stable again when found to be unstable , im thinking along the lines of all those who like me dont play about with upgrades albeit stable/unstable but have to live with the main plugins being locked out until such fix the rogue image update is fixed

no not quite.

The feeds for all images and plugins etc are combined, so if we set a image as unstable it also sets the plugins as unstable even though they are not. all you need to do is set unstable updates to yes in.

Menu> Setup> System> online update> allow unstable ( untested ) updates.

On a no win right now did what you said now says plugins down for maintence ..... Also note i see a red flashing icon on the info panel remember the Green one means updates available does red denote unstable as the message when i pressed to upgrade mentions it.

Yes it does. Feeds are up now (image build 190 is online).

I've had problems downloading plugins everyday for the past two weeks. Its only been successful once in that time and I've enabled unstable updates also.

all working fine here, have you restarted after enabling unstable updates ?

Plugins are accessed by either long pressing the Blue button then Green button to Download the plugins or menu>plugins>green to download plugins

I hav'nt had any unstable plugins, my prob is that I cant seem to find the actual use of any plugin I've downloaded!! One eg is titled "porncenter"....havnt seen any porn yet....the rest downloaded prob free but as to what they do - I hav'nt a clue.

Same problem for me, after allowing unstable updates and accessing the plugins it first says warning feeds may be unstable, then says sorry feeds are down for maintenance. It has been this way for me for at least 2 weeks. Is there a link where these plugins are located so I can transfer them across to the box manually?
