I am using a Gigablue 800se with enigma 2 installed.
Can anyone confirm, with enigma 2, you do not need to use "preflash" or "bootloader" (depending what you call it.

You only need to install the image itself, ie, openaaf, open mips teamred etc.

Thanks

The newer image need the new bootloader, Team red image uses old bootloader (preflash). I wouldn't bother with the newer iamges just yet, they're in the process of fixing softcams in latest images.

ok the problem I now have is, I am stuck with Giga on my display and it is stck on standby, the reason I decided to update to a newer image is, when I was going onto EPG or a menu, I was getting a green screen with a enigma 2 error message.

I will try and reinstall the TeamRed image now.

Thanks..

You need to flash old bootloader first http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?18659-GiGaBlue-HD800SE-Bootloaders&p=137021&viewfull=1#post137021 Then flash the Team red image.

Update on this MOTHER !!!!!
Did the usual on formatting and preparing the usb stick
Put the bootloader you said on usb, booted up, left it for half an hour, it siad USB when I unplugged it, then I formatted again and put on teamred, once I rebooted with this it said GiGA.

Getting close to jumping out the window (I know it won't help as I live on the ground floor.)

Thanks as always for your support and patience..
