Stuck on standby light

I have a vu+ solo loaded with Vix 2.4 latest build. It seems that when the receiver has been inactive overnight (I only have it download epg listings at 4am) it wont come out of standby the next day. I have to hold down the power button on the remote for a good 30 seconds to force the receiver to boot up.

There are no crash/error logs saved so I'm at a loss at what it could be. Any ideas?

this might sound daft,..have you checked the handset batterys??

what are your settings for the power button for both long and short press in menu>setup>system>customise ?

Yep. Batteries are fine as once the receiver has rebooted the remote functions as normal.

Everthing is setup as standard. Long press is reboot and short press is standby.

I may disable the epg update and see if it has any effect...
