Hi there

No problem here with usb hdd on both solo and duo working with the 2.4 image make sure you format the hdd on your pc then simply connect to the receiver and go menu - setup - vix - mount manager
you should see your usb drive listed simply mount it.

regards

Can you telnet in to your box, and issue the command lsusb:

root@vuultimo:~# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13fe:3623 Kingston Technology Company Inc.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 2013:024f
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

and on et9000:

root@et9x00:~# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 003: ID dead:beef
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 1a40:0101 TERMINUS TECHNOLOGY INC.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 059b:0272 Iomega Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

On ultimo, the "Kingston Technology Company Inc." is a usb memory stick, and on the et9000, the "Iomega Corp." is a usb hdd. You should get something which should show your usb drive...

To get more detailed info, type "lsusb -v". Ultimo:
