I assume you've got NFS installed on the box as well?

Can you telnet in to the box ok? Might it be a firewall setting in new router?

Turned firewall on router off, no joy, remember all other devices can access it. Im using CIFS.

Was I right in my assumption:

Talk about cardsharing is against the rules, I have removed it from your post.

What plugins do you have installed and please provide a crash log from your attempts to access the network browser.
Are you sure you have a genuine box ?

tolmie

lol, yes its genuine unless WOS has sold my one that isnt. only plugins i have are youtube, crossepg

/media/hdd or /media/usb or /home/root depending on where you specify in menu>setup>system>logs>settings and any devices you have

One other thing did you restore any settings backup when you went from 2.3 to 2.4

tolmie

I have not went to 2.4, to much hassle.

Maxwell

You really need to upgrade to 2.4 which has all the latest drivers and is much more stable, 2.3 is no longer supported.

No disrespect or offence intended but we no longer support nor supply updates to the 2.3 series image, we are currently on the ViX 2.4 Series image so unless you tell us what version your using when you ask for help we are always going to assume you are using the latest Image. As for the upgrade being too much hassle, why not just try it ?.

ok fellas i'll upgrade, do i just download file onto usb, plug usb into box and let it works its magic, its reinstalling some of the stuff i have thats the pain remembering where to put files etc.

Yes just flash as you would any other Image, make sure to backup any config files etc first as you can NOT use a settings backup from a earlier image without causing major problems for your self.

And best thing to do would be to take a full image backup, so that if worst comes to worst, and you have problems installing, you can always revert back to previous image (of course having the same problem, but at least you can still watch tv ;))!
