Good Morning/Happy Friday Everyone,

I would like to upgrade to the new VIX 2.4.96 Image and have read Silverfoxs' threads on how to flash from the USB.

I have made sure that the files on the USB are as they should be.

I have inserted the USB in the front of the box and have powered off the receiver an restarted it, as it is restarting, I am pressing the CH- button on the receiver but the receiver just boots up as normal.

I did the software update when I bought the box and there are no further updates.

Do I need to reflash the BOOTLOGO as I have read somewhere that before the New VIX image is flashed I need to do that or am I doing something wrong?

Do other flashes/updates need to be done before I can flash the new VIX image?
Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered.

As always, any help/assistance will be appreciated.

If you're going to flash I would use the latest version (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=Vu%2BUno/)

Hello Rob,

Thank you for the very quick reply.

I have the latest version downloaded as suggested, do I need to update/flash anything before I upgrade to the latest version?

If you're on the latest bootloader you should be fine and ready to flash.

I must have the latest BOOTLOADER version.

Will keep trying to flash - Thank you

no you do not need to flash any thing else such as a bootloader, just the image it self.

Hey Phoenix,

Hope you are well?

I did manage to flash to the New Image, it looks very very impressive!!

I cannot get my ccam.cfg file to get recognised though.

I am on my third time of flashing the receiver, The ccam installs and I get a green tick saying its installed but keep getting the message, No config file found error.

I have saved the .cfg file to the var\etc folder.

I am absolutely confused to say the least!

it's not var/etc just /etc.

var/etc is for Enigma 1 receivers the Uno is a Enigma 2 receiver and uses /etc

What's new in the last version? did it contain HbbTv?

No VU-box supports HbbTV (yet?).
