The only picon that doesn't work for me is ESPN HD it's there when I open up the picon folder tried ftp'ing in from the desktop and directly from original folder and Overwriting it but no joy. But hey ho it's not a life changer, fantastically put together. Time to give yourself a break me thinks :sweating:

I've checked the <default>, ViX-Day-HD and ViX-Night-HD skins and the picon appears on all of them. I also tried the PLi-HD skin and it didn't appear. I'm running openvix 3.0.708 on an ET9000.

Edit - Just noticed the latest version is 711 so I'll try that.

Edit 2 - OK updating to 711 has cured my problem but I now have the same problem as uscool with a white band appearing on the left & right of the picons.

I've finally been able to update to 714. Picon problem still exists though.

Edit - It would appear that some picons are OK. Sky 007 HD, Sky Sports Ashes HD, BT Sport 1 & 2 HD picons all appear without the white bars.

Hi noticed the same, in plugins menu, there is picons by oscram the shd ones work perfect, but you need usb or hard drive as i think he has picons for other sats as well,

Recent transponder changes means the picons need renaming. Anybody know where I get the new name/reference from? Had a quick look in DBE but can't see anything resembling how the picons are named.

In DBE, right-click on the known working channel in the "TV User Bouquet details" column, click "Copy Service Reference to clipboard", open your picon folder, find and highlight the picon you want, click again on the filename of the thumnail, then paste the previously copied service reference. Reload to the receiver and job done.

Hi mmc many thanks for your latest picon file(yesterday) I noticed that the superheroes picon HD/SD are missing. and they have been put in a seperate post. I have tried for the last 5 hours to attach these picons to my channel lists but cannot get them to display in info banner, but do appear in epg banner. Would it be possible to make another picon file to include these picons, then maybe things will be ok for me. I have managed to implement other picon changes sucsessfully, qvc stlye, tcm+1 etc. without problems. Thanks for all your work it is very much appreciated.

If there is an ipk available, (or even better: a GIT from which we can build) we most certainly could add them to the feeds.
But that would also need some improvement: not using refs as picon-names, but symlinks (look at Ocram for an example of that).
And looking at the picons, it looks like they're (almost) the same as Ocram's, but with a black background.

So you see: there's more to it ......

as in vix you can select the background as you want via setting in 'User Interface', the last preview is with background 'Disabled'

are they in a folder called 'picon' case sensitive on the root of your USB?

you need to extract the zip file, it should extract as a folder called picon - that's the folder you need to transfer over.

Ah my apologies goose...no I haven't can you explain the actual process on how to change/replace said ref numbers as I basically don't have a clue tbh. I have been using Filezilla to ftp the picon folder from my desktop to my Vu+Uno that much I can just about manage, but when you talk about the current tab and replacing ref numbers im kinda lost.

hi davy,no apologies needed,first off i download the picon folder from my reciever to my desktop then delete it the one in the reciever.start watching the channel you are missing the picon ie nick hd.type your recievers ip into your internet browser to open up open webif on the left hand side click television then current tab and it will show a Srf: eg Sref: 1_0_19_EEF_7D8_2_11A0000_0_0_0
copy the ref number then go into your picon folder on your desktop,find the nick hd picon,highlight,right click,properties and replace the ref number with the new one,when youve changed the missing ones ftp back to where you keep your picon folder

Perhaps provide a serviceref for the channel "loads", always makes it easier for the guy creating the picons.
