Monitoring probably possible even without fan, but controlling and adjusting could be done only with fan and proper plugin.
Yep, of course. I meant to suggest to start monitoring and see if a fan is needed at all.

The same way as for all network mounts: explorer, add network drive. Once added, cut & past shortcut to desktop.

I've tried that, something is wrong. I see GB as network device but can not access it. Of course Windows can not diagnose problem.

Still can not get connected to HDD of GB. With FTP it is not a problem but not from network.

And another question: Why GB is scanning satellites so long time? For example, scanning of 28,2*E takes about 20', at the same time DM8k does it 3-4 times faster. Is something could be done to improve this? I can not imagine scanning 40 ish birds spending x20 minutes to each.

Remote desktop? what on earth are you trying to do?

It seems that problem is in my laptop. I tried from desktop and hard drive of GB is easy accessible.
So, by now only question about long time scanning is actual.
Edit: Simply laptop was connected to internet using GSM module not via home network.
