View Full Version : Satellites missing from tuner config
what if we are in the case of majoir upgrade, like passing from 2.3 to 2.4?
Could it be possible to manually backup the needed files and then upload them back via ftp to the receiver?
I'm in the situation of external DiseqC positioner.
I've just tried to restore from a backup but had no luck.
In the tuner settings it's only listed HotBird 13e as available satellite.
If I go left/right to choose the sat it only lists ALL SATELLITES 1 to 4 no trace of Astra etc..
All the other settings for the tuner are ok (the right number position etc)

more infos: even in the motor configuration settings I'm listed HOTBIRD only
As Huevos says, it's down to your satellites.xml.
/etc/enigam2/tuxbox/satellite.xml content is the following:
17343
please lemme know what is wrong with it.
Just use Huevos site to generate a new one for the Sats you need.
http://satellites-xml.org/
ok using Huevos site worked and now the satellites are back in the tuner settings.
But If I do a restore from backup settings would It get back Diseqc positioner settings?

But If I do a restore from backup settings would It get back Diseqc positioner settings? That depends on whether the satellites.xml was errorneous when you did the backup. Anyway you should just be able to just copy the tuner config from the settings file of your backup to the settings file (/etc/enigma2/settings) of your current image without editing anything else.
