Timeshift - Viewing file for previous programme

The timeshift facility appears to start a new file whne the programme changes.

How can I view the file for a previous programme?

I've been looking and asking for this many times, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Personally I find this makes PTS virtually unusable. Alas......
