after have making an update image to 2.4 -143, i have a problem with timezone setting, GMT+1 is not showing the correct time.
What are your settings in menu/setup/system/time settings
seems I to have the same problem.
gmt london lisbon bla bla
sync to transponder time
What are your settings in menu/setup/system/time settings
Central Africa GMT+1
Try changing setting to ntp instead of sync from transponder
Try changing setting to ntp instead of sync from transponderNope that did not seem to do anything, I noticed it had update 30 mins or something to them words so I gave it about an hour or so to do its thing.
I may just reflash & see if that cures my problem as I also noticed I have a update sitting their that never seems to update even though I've asked it to 2 or 3 times. The update below has only been their since updating yesterday.
2.4 Build 144:
Engima2: Fix possible none starting box
tm-twin: update drivers 20120525
and here is the info for my system
Hardware:vu+ Ultimo
Drivers:2012-02-28
image release
Version:143

Yes please try re-flashing the box to see if that sorts your problem, and if possible dont restore any settings as that could carry the problem over to the new setup. as for the update, well yes there is a 2.4-144 image but as far as i can see andy has not actually uploaded that version to the server so no idea why it's presenting you with the update.
Scrubbed every thing & started with a fresh flash, done all the online updates & it is as it should be now running sweat as :)
Cheers for both your input...

You're correct: that file indeed doesn't exist. I'll make a bugreport about that.
What does
ls -la /etc/localtime
tell you?
In the meantime I suggest you to use another 'GMT +01.00' location.

Could you answer that please?

OK, good.
I absolutely hate puzzles and don't believe in "magic fixes" so when I noticed that my time was not updated last weekend to GMT +1 hour for summer I wondered why. Answer is simply that anyone who saves off their configuration when updating their box should avoid the file /etc/tuxbox/timezone.xml! The format changed recently and the exact change that got me was this one:
- <zone name="(GMT) Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, Lisbon, London" zone="Dublin" />
+ <zone name="(GMT) Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, Lisbon, London" zone="Europe/Dublin" />
There are around 64 other changes in the file. Anyway replacing with the correct file as distributed with your image will fix all of these problems.
root@vusolo2:~# ls -la /etc/localtime
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Jun 20 20:25 /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/Istanbul
root@vusolo2:~# opkg files timezones-alternative

VTI Image
Can anyone please post the correct file timezone.xml, just to be replaced..
Thank you!
Later edit:
i solved the problem adding Europe to my zone:
<zone name="(GMT+02:00) Bucharest" zone="Europe/Istanbul" />
