Hi, i was following the guide here, but it's out of date.

http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?15974-How-To-Setting-up-Windows-Network-Share

Can anyone help me out? There is no longer an option to do the following, CIFS is not listed....

Then on your Vu+ box

1. menu > setup > system > Network > Mount Manager
2. Add a new network mount point
3. Active - yes
local share name - nas (you can call it anything you like)
mount type - CIFS share
server IP - (enter PC IP here)
server share - /vu (make sure you include the /)
username - vu
password - vu
4.Press OK

What type of mount should i add instead of CIFS?

I should also add i am on version 2.4.
When i was on v2.2 i tried this before and think i may have ballsed up some of the settings as i get this when i click on plugins:

CIFS is there in 2.4, when you upgraded from 2.2 did you do a backup restore by any chance

Yeah, i restored from backup..... :( Is there any easy way to get it back without losing my sats and channels?

Then thats why you have a corrupt image now, there are explicit instructions in the release threads not to do that :p :D
Anyway you can use Dreambox edit to save your channels to your pc and send them back to your box afterwards, if you are unsure of tuner settings I suggest you write them down before the reflash :)
