Sorry if I am asking what is already answered somewhere - I tried to search for "ET9500", though.

I think ET9500 was presented almost 3 months ago.
Is it available yet?

As I urgently need to buy a new receiver I have to decide which one.

Do I understand it correctly about ET9500:

1. Flash memory - 1 GB - the same size as in Vu+ Ultimo

2. Its "1100 DMips processor" - the same Broadcom 7413 chipset as in ET9000 and in Vu+ Ultimo, so the same 400 MHz dual-core processor.

3. It still has that stupid battery - that bright yellow circle in ET9500 pictures ?

TIA for any info about ET9500

Would also like to know if W.O.S will be selling the ET9500, and will the VIX Image for the ET9200 work on the ET9500 or will a new one have to done.

At the moment we have no plans to stock this unit as we feel the Ultimo is much better value for money.

I am just a little bit uneasy about Ultimo because:

1. my Duo does not record (the file length stays either 0 or 192512 bytes) Eurosport 2 NE HD (Hot Bird, 11258 H DVB-S2 - 11 audio tracks), or Eurosport 2 NE UPC (Hot Bird, 11240 V DVB-S - 10 audio tracks)
I suspect that this number of audio tracks is causing the problem, however it no longer records (but used to record) also Fox News (Astra 2, 12304 H DVB-S - 1 audio track), so not sure.
In any case, ET9000 records those channels just fine, with all audio tracks.
But will Ultimo have the same problems as Duo?
Duo records so far all the other channels I tried.

2. reported by some issues when all three tuners are installed (I want sat+sat+cable)

3. reported by some tuner issues, especially with vertical high frequencies.

So I think I will buy Ultimo, but only after testing some reportedly more problematic transponders and after testing if it records those channels.

Just tested recording Eurosport 2 NE HD (Hot Bird, 11258 H DVB-S2 - 11 audio tracks), had 8 audio track's, not 10. Recorded fine on Ultimo. If you do decide to go with an Ultimo dont forget your forum members discount.

Fox News (Astra 2, 12304 H DVB-S - 1 audio track) recording spot on too.
