Hi guys. For some time I've had a FortecStar HD, but recently the HDMI output went AWOL and Ch4 HD stutters, so time I think to upgrade. I've also always wanted to have a rotatable dish so the present bundle offer of receiver and dish, motor etc is right up my street. However, I do have some questions for those who have substantial experience of the 800SE that I've not seen addressed anywhere.....

a) how good is the HD picture quality? Up with the rest?
b) can it do blind search?
c) once it's done a blind search (if available) how easy is it to put channels in the order you want them? i.e. is it easy to do it manually on the receiver or is there are program available as it needs to be done on a PC e.g. SetEdit?
d) will the receiver work out of the box on Astra 28.2?
e) are there any worthy-of-note differences between this receiver and Vu+ Uno?
f) never having had a Linux receiver, are the various image releases just really cosmetic skins or does each image have different menu facilities (apps) to others?
g) I have a wifi dongle (a TP-LINK TL-WN322G). I presume I can plug this into a USB socket and connect to my wifi router?
h) will I then be able to stream, for example, YouTube and iPlayer? (i.e. YouTube needs Flash, is Flash available?)
i) as I only use TV/sat between 8pm and 12pm I always turn off completely all my equipment afterwards. Will this receiver lose any of its settings by being unplugged from the mains?

Those are all my questions but if anyone can think of anything pertinent for a newbie to ruminate over then please say! (in clear speak please :) )

BTW, I live in the north-west of England.

Regards, Unhban.
