It really shouldn't be warm at all in standby....have you placed anything on top of it?

Is the fan still going say 10 minutes after you've put it in standby?

What, if any HDD do you have installed?

What are your settings in fancontrol? You can choose to set the fan to off/on/intermittent-on-off in standby.
Normally the DUO isn't warm at all: does the fan actually work?
