Problems when recording?

Had only one feed connected to Vu Duo tonight

Went to put tv on MOTD it had already started to record

Then it said TUNE FAILED on the screen and wouldnt show bbc 1

Any ideas why?

Turned box off and went in other room lol

Why turn the box off, it would kill your recording...
When you have only 1 feed to the DUO, setting the second tuner to loopthrough gives you many more channel options.
BBC channels transmit on a few different transponders, are you sure you tried the channel on the same transponder you were recording?

ok how do i set second tuner to loopthrough?

when i use mgcam now only selected free to air channels are available to view

any ideas

go into system tuner comfiguration and use left right to select loopthrough
