I used to have an TM800.. Has the potential to be a good stb.. Just not enough support for it..

Although i have never seen a gigiblue.. a buddy of mine has one.. And he loves it.. So by the looks of things it has to be the gigiblue..

Your can also buy the 2 versions of gigiblues from the sponsor HERE (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Gigablue-HD-Linux-Enigma-2-Satellite-Receivers/GiGaBlue-HD-800-SE-HD800SE-Digital-Satellite-Receiver-Linux-Enigma-2-1x-DVB-S-S2) And HERE (http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Gigablue-HD-Linux-Enigma-2-Satellite-Receivers/GiGaBlue-HD-800-SE-HD800SE-Digital-Satellite-Receiver-Linux-Enigma-2-1x-DVB-S-S2-1x-DVB-C-T-COMBO)..

hope this helps..

Agree with the above, GigaBlue is the one for me, the Technomate is a very nice bit of kit, but I went for the one I believe will be better supported and does everything I want, and a lot lot more..

*** Found the answer, its not an RF modulator its the optional tuner ***

On the images on the sponsors forums, it look as though it has an RF modulator built into it, can anyone confirm if it does please Guyz ??

I know you said Technomate vs gigablue.
But if you have already a VU I think at £189 the VU Solo would be the best option.
Then you can have all your receivers set up the same....

Would go for the Technomate 800hd if it had VIX image

Would go for the Technomate 800hd if it had VIX image

For what reason? The TM800 just cant compare with the GiGablue, the images are far more superior, all work as they should and much more choice, above all the GiGablue HD800SE ia broadcom MIPS powered!
