Oh blimey an update the VTI version of Media Player has packed up playing flac files, so my overjoy has been brought to an abrupt end :(

but wait no!!, VTI has bit the dust welcome back Gigant latest, same thing though no flac files playing.....until whilst messing around i press the audio button on the remote and there surprisingly amongst AC3 downmix and stereo FLAC was listed (never seen this before) and upon clicking on it not only does it select FLAC obviously! it also acts as a play button and sets the track in motion.

Sooooooooooooo so i'm back again........this time as didhackit though:D

or is there another surprise in store for me:sofahide:

i tried to install the updated drivers in the vti panel manuall install .ipkg files and it said at the end collected error failed to extract controll file from /media/usb/*.ipk
execution finished

what am i doing wrong ?

i would recomend then do a manual install ftp into /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra

backup the 5 files just in case something goes wrong and delete them from the directory, then drag or copy over the updated drivers, reboot VU.

u have done nothing wrong, it is a bug in in the installer.

ur drivers and files installed correctly and u don't need to do anything else.

vti said it shall be fixed soon but for the time being no harms.
