Reflashing question

Looks like I need to reflash my firmware (again!) When I do this do I need to remove the back usb stick, scart lead, hdmi cable etc or am I OK to leave them all in. Where the box is positioned it's a pain to get all the bits and pieces unplugged and reconnected again !

you can leave all the cables connected just make sure no other USB sticks / USB HDD's are connected other than the stick your using to flash the box.
