Streaming from vu + duo box

Ive download an app called DREAMBOX on my Iphone

How do I set it up to enable me to stream to my iphone?

You need VLC media player for that.

Look in the stickies there is a guide for it.

For external you need to create a dyndns address.

Create a free one from no-ip dot com.

You can only stream sd channels.

This option is for STB to PC.

You dont need VLC player to stream to your Iphone if you have dreambox live.

1st I would get it working on your internal wireless.
you just need to add the IP address of your dreambox in the settings of the app along with the root username and password. Once you have that working. you can watch your dreambox channels on your iphone.


The next step is to get it working when you are on somebody elses wireless. 1st I would ensure you have a fast upload via your Internet Service Provider. If you dont have a minimum of 5mb it wont work. Someone has kindly written a tutorial here

you need to set-up port forwarding on your router.

No VLC required. The person is trying to play dreambox satellite content from his Vu Duo to his iphone.

I also tried to use the dreambox app on my iPhone.

But, couldn't get it to work so gave up.
