Dear all,
This is my first post ,im not very technical ,so apologies if the question looks dumb.

I have a Vu Duo ,fitted with internal HDD .. i have been using it for recording various shows (auto timer) . Of late the box crashes when try to do instant record, with the error 'No space left on device /etc/enigma2/timers.xmlwriting' .
Doing a df -k using putty shows me no space left in device..what could it be due to ? what can i do to create more space to get everything back working ..kindly help.

root@vuduo:/# df -k *

Hi Anandbg & welcome

If you have seen all that is recorded on the HDD, I would re-initialise your HDD in menue, settings, Hard disc (from memory, but its there somewhere). The only problem with this is that it will wipe the HDD clean.

BTW - please remember to state what image you are using as it will help people to answer depending on your set-up.

Hope this helps
Tom

Hi,
do you have installed the web browser? If yes this could be the reason because with kernel 3.1 and UBIFS the flash is full quite easily. If you do not have installed the browser unmount your hdd and take a look at /media/hdd it should be empty otherwise you recorded something into flash.

Ciao
