Hi,

Was just wondering if any knows the direction image wise this box is going. Is open aaf the way to go or openmips.

Openaaf seems a bit like vix ?

Thanks :)

It does but I updated to lastest boot loader for images wih 3.11 kernel, so the only ones I know are open MIPS and open aaf. is there a teamed next gen image

And the boot time has is now only a second, and zapping much quicker

I am on TeamRed and happy to wait until they produce an update.

Cheers..

Thats because OpenAAF is in part based on both OpenPLI and OpenViX.

Try the Itaysat images if you've updated the bootloader. Do any of the new 3.11 images have the VFD display settings like Team Red has? Where you can turn off the display in standby?

I see people saying kernel 3 is the way to go. Can someone please tell me what improvement this brings to kernel 2.6

Thanks,

Faster boot times, faster zapping but still a few bugs in kernel 3 .
