You will need Dreambox edit to add the bouquets to your STB..
Picons are the little icons that go in the 1st info bar with the logo of each tv channel..
You just ftp those to you usb stick.. media > usb.. Not HDD..
Is their a tutorial how to do this ?
I assume i can download dreambox edit from the net, what do i do then and how do i install etc?
New to all this, Thanks in advance
you can get DBE here

and look here for a quick video tutorial showing the process of how to use it.

Are their any other tutorials? Looking for sky uk bouquets?
That video tutorial expalins what you need to do, the process is the same regardless of what bouquet you use.
as for sky uk bouquets you have 3 options.
SGTFlipFlop
Silverfox0786
or the B16MCC front end software to create your own.
you can get the first two here

and the B16MCC front end software here.

Got dreambox edit now thanks, where do i find my box IP?
That depends on the image your using. it will be in the network sub section
If it's ViX 2.3
menu > setup > system > network > Device setup > Adapter settings
Ok got IP address but this video is so poor quality and out of date. When i test my connection it says failed to connect to dreambox.. I have changed port to 8080 and 80 still no go. Help
in dreambotedit, have you gone into the cog icon and put in your user name and password and selected Engima2 bouquets. Http port is 80 and FTP port is 21
Settings fo Vu+ Duo?
1.IP Address of Dreambox. - Enter your box IP here. - Done 192.168.0.132 ?
2.Dreambox HTTP Server port - Very rarely changed from 80. - Changed to 8080 for Vu+ Duo
3.Username on Dreambox - Nearly always 'root'. - Dont know ?
4.Password on Dreambox - Standard password is 'dreambox'. Dont know
5.FTP Port - Nearly always 21. Dont know?
6.File paths
If you are on VIX the default password is blank unless you have changed it via telnet
hAve not set user name / password How ?
root and leave password blank and try it
I am on Vix2.3 not changed a thing other settings ?
When using this forum how do i see updated live replies, I keep having to go back enter my user name etc to see replies ?
Connected now. Did not do anything different? Cheers
IP connection now pass, But fails Username/password. It is set to root and blank
use password as the password. or start a telnet session and change the password then use the new password in DBE.
How to enable the default Telnet client in Windows 7 - Click Here (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?12558-Tutorial-How-to-enable-the-default-Telnet-client-in-Windows-7)
To set a new password via a telnet session, first start a telnet session as above then login using root as the username. then type passwd ( must be this exact spelling ) This will initiate a password change, type the new password in and press enter then confirm. use this new password in DBE and report back.
the word password does not work either?
Phoenix, have done this but comes up with the following :
Welcome to vix for vuduo
Vix 2.3
vuduo login :
Have tried root but goes into something else.. Help please
if there is no password set just type root and hit enter. then type passwd and hit enter. you will then be prompted to enter a new password.
Phoenix, thanks, changed password for root but dreambox edit still when i go into test the IP connection it says ok.
When i test the username/password it still fails ? clues?
Sorry to ask all these questions

This is very strange :
If i test my IP connection on the settings : 192.168.0.5 port 80 it passes the test but when i check my username/password it fails .
If i test my IP connection on the settings : 192.168.0.132 (which i believe is my box ip address) port 80 it Fails the IP connection test
but when i check my username/password it passes .
What is correct ?
never be afraid to ask questions thats what we are here for.
as for the correct IP address try changing the default port in OpenWebif in the plugins menu.
menu>plugins>OpenWebif. ( I think thats the path but i'm at work and cant be totally sure ) set it to 0080 and make sure that the HTTP port in DBE is set to port 80.
Its currently set at 08088 ?
Phoenix, your the man...
Changed port to 00800 and settings in DBE now it connects. Big thanks
Now trying to upload bouquets, This is frustratingly fun

I feel you pain mate i really do.
I my self moved from a DM7020si a little over a year ago ( used it for 10 years ) to a Vu+Uno and more than once i came very close to introducing it to one of my beloved 12 gauge shotguns.
have ftp'd silverfox bouquet to box but does not show anywhere on menu or favourites. Do i need to add something to settings?
If/when i get bouquet working will this then be in my epg? Using crossepg
Use Dreambox edit to transfer the bouquets, not FTP.
Once you do that, yes, your EPG can populate those channel listings.
Sorry i did upload using dreambox, still does not show?
Either press the TV button on the remote or reboot the box.
After tranaferring them should click on box "reload on dreambox"
