Just got new Vu+ Box - help

Hi just got my new Vu+ duo box from this site, came with 500Gb HDD and had VIX image pre installed.

My question is do i need to backup anything before i start and if so how ?

Can i put my current SKY card into a slot and run my sky subscription from this box ?

Good choice on box & image...
If you want to make a back-up before you play with installing extensions/ changing configs, just go to Menu / Setup / VIX / Backup Manager & hit the green button.
Then, you can always restore that backup if you mess anything up.

Your current SKY card will work after installing CCCam. However, if you have a sub for any of the premium channels (movies, sports), you will need to edit your CCCam.cfg to include your boxkey.

Have a look through the stickies/tutorials here & you will be up & running in no time.

Just create a blank text file on your computer, call it CCCam.cfg & upload it to /etc
