Hi everybody, bought a vu+ duo from this site and been trying to set it up this weekend to no avail and have now got the missus moaning as we have no telly!!

I bought preinstalled with the latest Vix image from this site. I have a new dish and cables too, checked and rechecked all connections and they seem OK, there is continuity end to end on the wire. On the Satfinder screen, if I turn the box off and on again the SNR shows 99% and AGC is also 99% for both tuners, both are going back to same fixed dish pointing at 28.2. However the minute you search for channels you find nothing and when you go back on the screen the SNR bounces round 0-10% and AGC is still a steady 99%.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated from any of you that are far more experienced than myself in theis field. I'm from a telecoms background so have half an idea.

Thanks in advance

Michael

As the dish is a new setup is it possible it's an alignment issue? Do you a spare STB or meter you can test with.

is there any way you can verify your actually pointing towards 28.2 east ie a old sky receiver ?

Hi mate

Can you confirm you have downloaded satellite file and channel list use arrow down then green button to pull up ur sat list and select 28east services and ok the scroll down to say a fta channel like bbc itv to check u have picture. if your using a sky card in the receiver your find a FAQ on how to prepare in the help section of this site
