vu+ duo question

hi guys - just bought a vu+duo for a freind of mine from the site sponser world of sattelite . co. uk...ive asked them to install the blackhole fw on it for me. does this include the new kernel 3.1.1 or do i have to install it myself, as i may try vix image or the latest blackhole 1.7.3 ?...ta

its very likely fully loaded with the latest drivers,

The BH 1.7.3 image is kernel 3.1.1 and as such already has the latest bootloader on the receiver so yes your good to go as far as flashing any other images go.
