Subtitles out of sync on recordings

I am using blackhole 1.7.2 and I am experiencing an issue of the subtitles playing out of sync with recorded programmes. They work fine with live tv.

Are there any plugins available via tspanel or otherwise that fix the issue?

Not that I know of.
You might consider using ViX to see if the same problem occurs there.
Furthermore there is an option in ViX for subtitle-delay, but that is meant to be used if the subtitles lack time-stamps. And I'm not sure if the latter is the case.

I was using the latest version of vix but was getting a lot of freezing and random crashes, even after a clean install.

There must be something...
