Latest Firefox driving me mad! What the last older version still supported?

Firefox 11 is really starting to piss me off! Every time I click on a field to type the Find box appears and start filling in the Find word instead of inserting the text in the field I clicked on.

Is 3.6.28 the last old version still supported? This latest version is terrible imo.

I am 11 also, seems to have not same problem here.

With findbox ..do yu mean the serach field for google search.


And you can set autoupdate off in general settings.

Find field pops open, same as when u press CTRL F.

Oaky..that one...works okay here

it does not popup unwanted, when filling in aother field.
And when using the findbox it works also okay

Just re-installed v11, see how it goes.

I think you have to disable in extra/options/advanced/search for text while typing.....

Done that loads of times ;) Since re-installing just now, seems to have cured. Hope so lol.

Found this issue i'm having is something to do with my Windows 7 installation. Happening with all browsers. For instance I open IE, click on URL field, the minute I start typing the text goes into FIND field box. Its as if ctrl F is stuck on or something.

Looks like this might be my keyboard causing this, just swapped for another and seems to have gone away.

Finally got to the bottom of this, was by Logitech Solar keyboard causing the issue. Powered off, then on again and all ok again :D
