I'm starting this thread so people can share their skin_display_picon.xml files!

Everyone has their own taste and style so hopefully this can build into a useful thread of alternative VFD layouts!

If you have a custom layout you would like to share, please zip and upload below with a screenshot.


If you would like to play around with the default xml, it can be found in /usr/share/enigma2

VFD Skin kann hier gerne runtergeladen werden!!

Wer es ausprobiert, darf mir gerne ein Feedback geben!!

Aber bitte nicht so hart..... War mein erstes Skin!!

- Datei runterladen
- Entpacken (zip)
- Die zwei Dateien via FTP in den Ordner schieben ( /usr/share/enigma2/vfd_skin )

But do not be so hard ..... Was my first skin!

- Download file
- Unpack (zip)
- The two files via FTP push it into the folder (/ usr/share/enigma2/vfd_skin)

An der Ultimo
Haupmenü > VTI > VFD Skin
Den Skin auswählen und Neustart!!

Fertig... Viel Spaß!!

At the end
Main menu> VTI> Skin VFD
Select the skin and reboot!

Ready ... Have fun!

Word of warning for everyone on the ViX image: this does not work on the ViX image, in fact the box does not even start up!

Well, it didn't of me anyway...

It does mention VTI in the instructions so i would imagine that to get it to work on ViX would require some editing.

It's just pulled straight out of the vti image, and will only work (as it is) with vti image.

It does work out the box on vti image but for some reason in standby the day , in the pic " SO " is to far up the top it needs to come done inline with the top of the time

Hold the phone. Those images posted by phoenix show a blue VFD. Is it possible to change the colour of the VFD display? Are we 100% that it can only support 1 colour?

Its just the level of light in the room affecting the picture!
