Is there away to stop external hard drive going to sleep

i have WD external hard drive connected to my solo box is there away to stop hard drive going to sleep ?

There is a setting in the HDD menu to enable sleep time, you could set this to the longest period of inactivity and that will prevent it going to sleep

there option says no standby but hard drves still goes to sleep

Try setting permanent time shift up on the drive, should prevent it going to sleep.
