Stream to pc via vlc vu duo

Hi all,
Been having a good read about streaming and think i am reading too many threads.
Is there an upto tut on how to do this.
It is not an important thing to have but i want to see if i can actually set it up.
I have new vlc 2.1 just installed before posting this thread as i believe from reading older versions were an issue.
Duo running on new bootloader/kernel & 2.3

Streaming from box to PC?
Put the box of the IP in browser and it will bring up WEBIF and than click the small telly icon next to the channel and away you go.

Do you mean ip of box in http bar? as i have done this and no connection is found.
It used to work, but last time i noticed it was working was approx 6 month ago.

Tried this and works really well, thank you for your guidance, much apprecaited :D
One thing how cna i get it to work on an ipodfor example as i am currently using it via laptop.

for ipod/iphone you can use "dreambox live" or "vu+ live" from app store.
