vu+ restarting during recordings and other issues

i am running vix 2.3 build 240 on my box. i am getting a problem that the box restarts or freezes when changing the channel during a recording.

also, is there a way to set up my autotimers that will ensure that i don't get multiple recordings of the same episode? sly atlantic and fx are doing my head in with their multiple daily repeats filling up my hard drive.

any guidance appreciated.

I recommned that you re-initialize your hard drive using latest VIX. Then check that its mounted correctly.

Menu > Setup > System > Harddisk > Initialize (you will loose all data)
To view progress press blue button > select the progress and press ok.
Once complete check that its mounted as /media/hdd. Press blue > VIX > Mount manager.

Regards autotimer you can setup filters to include or exclude things.
