Hi all I've set up a vu+ duo for my brother but theres a problem when i bring up the epg, select the program i want to tape press the green button on the second press of the green button to confirm recording the vu+ crashes and has to be reset from the switch on the back.
Any ideas?
There should be a crash log on the HDD you can either send it to us via email or post it here.
Also have you initialized the HDD and set your recording paths?
Hi stanman ill have to send logs once im at my bro's house i definitely initialised hard drive but i dont recall setting recording paths, although when doing some test recordings (not through the epg) im pretty sure the recordings went to hdd/movie just like on my own vu+ duo.

That makes sense, i did get hyped and tried to demo Apple movie trailers plugin when i realised "oh no i haven't hooked up the hard drive yet"

I dont think there is. If u can find all the corrupt files then delete them but thats going to be a hard task lol more than likely require a reflash. If u took a backup of ur settings before it went balls up then u can reflash then restore the settings from the backup
Ok thanks for the help fellas, its actually a box i purchased for my brother as a birthday present thinking it would be plain sailing setting it up as i already have one, how wrong i was lol.
I'll get down to his in the week with all the required files and do a total wipe and re-install hopefully this time things will go more smoothly, ill come back and update this thread with my progress then, thanks again :thumbsup:
