Can I program my remote to work my tv....

Hello, it says at the back of the instruction I got with my vu+ duo that I can program the remote so it will operate my tv. However when I try to follow them nothing happens (a LED is meant to light up, but I don't think mine has one) any ideas? :confused:

if you have one of the newer remotes with the stb and tv buttons at the top left and right you can program it to work with some tv's although it's very hit and miss in my opinion. i tried for several hours to get it to work on my own tv's to the point where i almost threw it out the window. instead i bought a logitech harmony 650 and a 600 as a spare. they do every thing i need and more.
