Hi all..
Im thinking of buying one of these.. But wish to know if this is compatable with the vix image..
Also, is there a procedure for installing this on on a duo or solo.. ??
Are they easy to fit.. or difficult.. ??
Any help on this would be brilliant..
If your not sure what hardware i am chatting about..

Thanks
Tried setting this up on my old duo yesterday, complete nightmare, however tried it on my Ultimo that I got it with and it was an absolute doddle to install and getting working.
The Vu I was using a Linksys router, Ultimo I was using a Netgear, both wireless N types, streaming HD content was a no go with both using the dongle, SD was no problem at all.
HTH
Using homeplugs I can stream HD no probs to my Imac :-)

Works fine on all VU+ & Xtrend from what I've tested. I use WPA2 on router. On the receiver set the encryption to wpa or wpa2 not just wpa or wpa2, hope make sense :p
also working on duo here aswell without any issues picks it up straight away
Yeh i was thinkin of getting one too. Look real nice. Can u do hd streaming sic?
Also using mine on my Duo with no issues.
Anybody able to stream HD though ?
HI
try the belkin F5D7050, very cheap off of ebay, works well, i have used about 5 on other peoples VU+ boxes
i have tried one of these on a solo. its not very good at connecting to my airport extreme wireless N, i have set both AP and solo to wpa2, buts its still very hit and miss. (its WELL in range)
I've a spare apple airport express which i now use instead. which i actually prefer as it free's up the only rear usb port for some local time shifting
I'm facing the same problem on Xtrend4000, my router is set to WPA2, but if I set WPA2 encryption of sat.receiver it cannot connect. I can connect only if I set "WPA or WPA2", however!! the connection is then assigned as not encrypted! Why is this? Is it safe?
