Hi guys,

I'm in a need of a motorised satellite system that'll work on the following satellites:

28.2E, 13.0E, 19.2E, 23.5E, 16E, 7E, 4.8E, 0.8W.

I have a Vu+ Ultimo and am pretty familiar with setting up USALS as long as I know the coordinates (lat & long), but maybe there's an easier way to set up the dish using an Ultimo?

I'm going to get a satellite installation guy to install it for around £30-50 and figure that I'm better off buying the parts myself as he's charging an arm and a leg for a very basic system which'll probably not work great...

Can you decent folk recommend a reasonably priced system that'll fulfill the above needs. Anything on eBay or the web?

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Plenty of motorised packs from the sponsor here http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/satelite-dish-packs

Size of dish depends on where you live. I'd recommend getting LNB upgrade to Inverto Black Ultra.

Thanks for your suggestion. I live in Stamford Hill, London. Would the 80cm dish be ok?

What's the difference between solid and mesh, BTW?

What does the LNB upgrade do?

Thanks once more

Solid with provide better signal stregth, although I think 80cm mesh should be fine with 28.2E, 13.0E, 19.2E, 23.5E, 16E, 0.8W.

For a better chance of getting the full range that you listed I recommend the 97cm solid pack, but upgrade the LNB to a Inverto Black Ultra.

Click on usefull links button on forum navbar, the look at satbeams. This will show you satellite footprint and dish size required.

Regards motorised install between £30 & £50, sounds a bit cheap imo.

and to be honest i'd rather buy it from the sponsor for the support you get from him over that of some random dude on ebay.

Motorised installations are normally around the £100 mark.

Been quoted £80 by somebody else and this bloke sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Will see...
