bt home hub 2.0 remote management

Can anyone help my friend a new vu+ convert has bt home hub 2.0 and doesnt know how to set remote management to on can anyone help??

hi thanks for reply ,its so we can check out settings and do dreambox control at work which is away from home thanks

in whichcase, you need to open ports 21 for ftp, surgest filezila
web control standard port is port 80, but surgest another port setting, ie, 85 or 8080 for example

You'll also need a dyndns unless you have a static ip

Unfortunately, afaik you can't access BT Home Hubs via an external IP. If you leave a PC on at home, I'd suggest LogMeIn or TeamViewer to get to a local PC on the network and do it from there.
