What screen is it on? Are you allowing enough time for it to fully boot?

Did you try changing channels?

When this happens to me I leave my USB plugged in with the image on it and it will boot as normal

its just on the screen that comes up when you switch it on. it doesnt hav any kind of busy icon revolving or do anything other than sit on the same screen

ive got a duo and reflashed different images so have knowledge on bootup times etc.

remote doesnt have any activity with the box and the remote is ok as it lights up and new batteries etc.

thanks guys

Have you tried re-downloading and re-flashing?

Also try disconnecting all cables apart from HDMI.

Also might be worth trying another image like Blackhole.

i was going to try that next but really want the vix image to be honest. cant even work out why it wont boot. it sits on the screen then reboots after a few mins then just sits on the screen

just flashing again then going to try blackhole for now

thanks

to update,

ive flashed the vix again with no joy,

ive flashed the blackhole and it sticks on the starting gui screen which basically has a timer in top left corner spinning and 3h in there. been watching it for 15mins!

ive just about had enough. spent 5hrs now trying to just flash the thing!

thanks again for any help given.

First post on here guys :) - just felt compelled to ask the below as it was the first thing that jumped into my head

Which HD are you using, and did you reconnect it again afterwards with no issues?
Just wondered in case it needs to be "black listed" or similar so others are aware it could be a source of teething problems.
