remote control frequency

Hi all, im after a new magic eye for the vu+box so i am able to turn the tv over from downstairs and have the box upstairs ., i know a lot of you will say go for the digi sender option but im very fussy about no wires showing and i have existing cables in place already , so im after if possible the frequency of the remote control so i can hopefully purchase a new infa red sensor from maplins or similar place .
any help is much appreciated.
