Hi guys please help, I had box up n running, switched on and got this message on screen: " connecting to NCID server failed (dns lookup failed: address `easybox` not found: [Errno-5 ] no address associated with hostname.) retrying...
any ideas tips or guidance appreciated

NCID usually refers to Network Caller Identification and is used for either telecoms or server identification, are you using any of the special features of CCcam or similar to access a certain type of server

check yr name server make sure its same as router

Ive got vu+ connected to router, also laptop connected to router via ethernet cables, ive been drag + dropping stuff from usb stick to hdd is that where ive messed up by creating a network ? i dont know what ive done, just been jumping in without properly knowing what im doing !!

where will i find nameserver ? and will it have to match router make/ name, sorry :confused:
creating the network is not a problem its far more likely that you may have overwritten something in the image

by the image do you mean the vix, or flash image
