Hi folks,

I was just curious to see how the skins on the Duo hang together so I downloaded e2skinner from here:

http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?13330-e2skinner2-1-0-0

I extracted the contents of the zip to my C:\ so the path is C:\e2skinner2v\.

I then copied the two Vix folders from the Duo into the skins folder under the above path so I have:
C:\e2skinner2v\skins\ViX_HD_Common\
C:\e2skinner2v\skins\ViX_Night_HD\

When I try to open the skin.xml file in ViX_Night_HD I get thrown several errors like:
14859

When the application opens and I select a screen from the left nav bar I get this error for every screen:
14860

If I click on the details the following error trail is shown:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

No biggy if it can't be opened but I just got curious...

Cheers,

Thanks Chris, at least I know it is not just how I have it installed..

I downloaded XMLPad and XMLSpy but I haven't a breeze how to use them to visually see the GUI or even if you can lol..

What do you skin guru's use to open these Vix Skins?

The ViX-skins can't be opened by e2skinner: the advanced functions in the skin are not supported.
However e2skinner can be used for all the Magic-skins without any problem: I use that daily (as help in modding the skins).

Both vs 2.0.6.3b & 2.1.0.0 work fine. Downloads are available from

http://code.google.com/p/e2skinner2/downloads/list
Also most other skins can be opened with those versions.
