question regarding external HDD

Hi,

I want to buy an external hdd for my VU+uno. I am thinking on a portable 2.5" USB HDD, but I am not sure, if it shall be a HDD with it's own powersupply or a HDD without powersupply. I prefer the one without powersupply, but I am not sure if this is recomended.

Why dont you just fit a HDD internally? The Uno has this facility.

because I am not sure if I can mount this myselve. Is it easy to do and which one do you recomend? Don't you recomend to use an external harddisk?

Most 3.5" & 2.5" SATA HDD work fine.

thanks for your answer - Installation seems to be quit easy :-) The only problem now is pricing for the internal hdd is quit hight due to the major flood in Taiwan.

You could put an advert up in the wanted part of this site or remove one from a Sly+ box.

Check on Flea bay or Amazon they still have 500gb sata 2.5 internal HD's for less than 50 GBP :thumbsup:
