Be nice to get bluray supported... Then just get a drive and save buying a dedicated bluray player :p

i'd like to see what develops here but considering sony owns bluray and the reason linux dont have bluray due to drm being hacked i think this is speculation rather than actually happen

plus if it does happen then the price of DMM is gonna sky rocket due to the licence fee they pay and DMM images will be closed source

if as you say this is official then looks like they struck a deal with sony and will be keeping all DMM images closed

i dont even think they will be linux

Hi,
even when it will be developed it will never replace a real BR player. No STB supports DVD menus without any problems and BR is a bit more complex. What might come is burn simple BRs and play unprotected m2ts files.
