What uses up most memory?

So I am putting the recording issues that I have experienced down to lack of memory in the VU+ and have deleted several movie files etc etc

I am down to 22k free out of a possible 133k so why has all the memory been used? I only have 3 cams downloaded

If you run 'top' via telnet, you get a rough idea.

I think he means 22MB out of 133MB and flash not RAM because he was speaking of downloaded cams. Since kernel 3.1.1 and UBIFS small files are using more flash memory then with old kernel. If you have an image with included web browser the flash is almost full.

When he means ram then most of the ram is used as cache and buffer and nothing to worry about if you only have 4 or 4MB free. It is normal with Linux.

What I do not understand is why he deleted movies.
