View Full Version : Cannot get TVBS working. Help please!

Hi,

New user of the Duo here, and I know very very little about satellites in general. So please be gentle ;)

Basically I have a subscription with TVB (Chinese Channel UK), and have decided to get a Duo and ditch the original receiver provided with the card. I have inserted the card into my new Duo (irdeto card, chip down and top slot) and plugged in the LNB from the satellite dish into LNB1.

When I scan Eurobird 9.0e, I can find the channel but it fails to display anything. Is there anything that anyone could suggest that I do to try get it working?

You need to configure a softcam to read your card.

Thanks I realised that now. The whole thing is legit, I own and pay for the subscription directly from TVB and just want my card to work in my new machine as the old cannot record to HDD.

Is there anywhere or anyone that can help me with configuring the Softcam to get the irdeto card to read in my Duo? I have installed the CCcam 2.2.1 but without a config because I have no idea what to put in that file. Would appreciate any help that can be given.

Not 100% sure, but you may need something like this: -

TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/sci0
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY : /dev/sci0 6000000
B : /dev/sci0 06

Change sci0 to suit the card slot, sci0 or sci1.
