hi,
i have the vu+ duo, i love it, my friend need to buy a receiver , i recommended the vu+
but what is the best of these, since dual tuner is not important, but since those are in
the same price range of what he want, which is the best,

1- Vu+ uno
2- ET5000
3- ET9000

UNO - its mega impressive and seems to run vix well.

VU+ UNO but for simple telly watching any of those are equally capable. For the increasing price you get better hardware.

By the way as Sic has said ET9000 is a dual tuner, its ET6000 which is the single tuner.
